Apple Products
As a member of the Apple Industrial Design Group, I created award-winning consumer technology products. I maintained a focus on future concepts, design language, and tangible user interaction.
Apple Mouse
I was the lead designer for the redesign of Apple's mouse.
Throughout this project, I oversaw every stage of the design process, from initial concept generation to ergonomic testing and manufacturing.
Collaboration was a key component of the project, I worked closely with engineers, researchers, and human factors teams to create a mouse that excelled in performance, ergonomics, comfort, and overall feel. We explored various design concepts and tested prototypes through multiple iterations to refine and improve the design.
Ergonomic and user testing was also a significant part of the process to ensure that the mouse was comfortable and safe to use for extended periods. Through iterative testing, I was able to fine-tune the design to optimize its ergonomics, making it truly user-friendly.
Our collaborative efforts resulted in a successful mouse redesign that exceeded expectations in terms of actuation, comfort, and feel. My design became a beloved device amongst the Apple community and a cornerstone of the brand's product offerings, shipping with every desktop unit for over six years.
My work on this project played a pivotal role in shaping Apple's design philosophy and further strengthening the company's commitment to innovation, user experience, and design excellence.

TV Media Box
I was the lead designer for an Apple home TV media player that played a significant role in Apple's early exploration into modern home design. Working alongside senior leaders of Apple's Industrial Design team including Jony Ive, we created a trio of products exploring the Apple design language in the home. In collaboration, we created designs that embodied minimal elegance, tailored for the home living room environment.
My designed TV Box became a cornerstone product for a European trial program with British Telecom. It served its entertainment function and showcased Apple's future design capabilities.
In addition to the TV Box, I designed a multi-media remote control that provided a seamless and intuitive user experience, allowing users to easily navigate and control their Apple devices from one central point.
My design of Apple’s home TV media player marked the company's early exploration into the home entertainment space. It solidified their reputation for pushing boundaries and creating products that seamlessly merge technology with sophisticated design.
The Apple Speakers were devised to enhance the multimedia experience of desktop computers in home and office settings.
As the principal designer, I integrated design attributes from the Apple desktop product line while taking into account the product language that resonates with home consumers. To optimize the listening experience, I designed an elevated speaker with a curved back and an adjustable foot, enabling users to customize the direction of sound. For this design and implementation, I was awarded a design and utility patent. In addition to the Apple platinum color, I spearheaded the creation of a new graphite colorway specifically for home use.
The Apple Speakers successfully combined aesthetics and functionality, resulting in an innovative design that elevated the Apple multimedia experience for computer users in both home and office environments. The product was widely recognized by industry professionals and received several design awards.y recognition and won several design awards.

Newton
As one of the original designers behind the Apple Newton, I had the privilege of contributing to a groundbreaking product that redefined the landscape of handheld technology. One of my key contributions to Newton was the design of the one-handed vertical configuration for input. Inspired by the mobility of a reporter’s notebook, this enduring form factor remains influential in today’s handheld devices, such as the iPhone.
The Newton, introduced in 1993, was ahead of its time with handwriting recognition and a touch interface, setting the stage for modern portable tech. Despite its commercial challenges and discontinuation in 1998, its legacy persists. Its innovations, from stylus input to the vision of a portable digital assistant, continue to shape today’s smartphones and tablets.
